Known worldwide as the "peerless song accompanist" British pianist Graham Johnson OBE will present a series of masterclasses to vocal and piano students from Conservatorium featuring lieder by Schubert, Schumann, Wolf , Beethoven and Strauss. The course will culminate in a concert on Saturday afternoon. As the leading world expert on the lieder of Schubert, Johnson will present a lecture mid-week on Why we still need Franz Schubert in the modern world.

Molly performs the role of Die Hexe (Witch) alongside Cassandra Doyle (mezzo) as Hansel, and Ariana Ricci (soprano) as Gretel.
"Hansel and Gretel" is a popular opera in three acts composed by Engelbert Humperdinck, with a libretto by his sister, Adelheid Wette. The opera premiered on December 23, 1893, at the Hoftheater in Weimar, Germany.The opera is based on the famous fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm, and follows the story of two young siblings, Hansel and Gretel, who are sent out into the woods by their mother to gather berries. Lost and alone, they come across a gingerbread house inhabited by a witch who intends to cook and eat them. Through their wits and courage, they manage to outsmart the witch and escape back to their home, where they are joyfully reunited with their father.The music of "Hansel and Gretel" is a mix of folk melodies, lush harmonies, and Wagnerian influences, and has become known for its charming and whimsical character. The opera's most famous aria is the "Evening Prayer" duet, in which Hansel and Gretel sing a beautiful lullaby as they prepare to sleep in the forest."Hansel and Gretel" remains a beloved classic of the operatic repertoire and is frequently performed around the world during the holiday season. Its appeal lies not only in its enchanting music and delightful characters but also in its universal message of the power of love and family to overcome adversity.

"The Choir of St Paul's College presents Buxtehude's 1680 cantata Membra Jesu Nostri 'Ad manus' ('to the hands'), a sung devotion to the 'limbs of Jesus', followed by Caroline Shaw's response to Buxtehude's cantata. Shaw's work focuses on America’s promise of welcome as inscribed at the Statue of Liberty with the words “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,” and the reality of the current refugee crisis and issues surrounding immigration. The concert finishes with Fauré's poignant Requiem bringing upon a prevailing mood of peacefulness and serenity."

"The Demant Dreikurs Scholarship Song Competition presents Conservatorium of Music students with the opportunity to show off their understanding and performance of German Art Song to a live audience. Each finalist is asked to prepare a program of three art songs which must include two songs by Franz Schubert or Hugo Wolf and a third song chosen from a composer of the Romantic Era. The winner of Demant Dreikurs will be awarded with $2000 with the other finalists receiving $100. The Demant Dreikurs Scholarship Competition is an event that is organised and run by the students in the Conservatorium of Music Diction cohort who gather every year to make this opportunity possible."

Molly performs as soprano soloist in this abridged, chamber version of Handel's 'Athalia'.
"Full of rich, three-dimensional characters, Handel's 'Athalia' explores the complexities of human nature and the interrelation of politics and religion. Written and premiered in 1733, Handel navigates Samuel Humphreys' libretto, exposing the thoughts of the characters through intimately sorrowful laments, pensive reflections on faith and thunderously angered ariosos. The performance features insert arias from Handel's other works including Jeptha, Theodora, Israel in Egypt, The Occasional Oratorio and Esther."

"Featuring a wide variety of classical vocal works, ranging from Mozart and Schumann to Massenet and Delibes, the Ensemble features many of its talented singers and pianists in the upcoming concert which will serve as both a fundraiser and introduction for the group. Booking fees from ticket sales will be collected by Humanitix, and go toward the education of disadvantaged girls.
